Chat
Everyday conversation with Claude's chat harness, markdown, code blocks and visible reasoning.
streams directOpenClaude is a local chat and agent app for OpenCode. Claude's own system prompts, agents, skills, commands and output styles guide whichever model you pick. All it needs is an OpenCode Console key.
Each surface in the top bar applies a harness from the local prompt library. Code and Cowork run on the OpenCode agent runtime; the others stream straight from the model.

streams directA coding agent that reads, edits and runs commands in your workspace, with tool cards for every step.
opencode runtimeHand off multi-step tasks on your files. Shell and edit actions ask before they run.
opencode runtimeA design-minded harness for palettes, layouts and interface ideas.
streams directHTML and SVG results open as live artifacts, served under a CSP sandbox.
sandboxedYour sessions, settings and keys stay on your machine. The agent runtime is isolated, connectors are yours to choose, and artifacts can't reach anything they shouldn't.
OpenClaude starts its own opencode serve with separate config and a dedicated workspace, proxied at /rt/*. Claude agents, skills and commands are converted for OpenCode, and Claude tool names map to OpenCode's.
An existing OpenCode Console key on your machine is picked up automatically. Otherwise paste one; it is checked against /zen and /inference.
Models are combined across keys. Each chat goes to a key that lists the chosen model first, then fails over to the rest.
Add MCP servers from presets or your own config in the Connect tab. OpenClaude also registers a connector that searches and reads your past sessions.
HTML and SVG blocks are served at /artifact/:id under a CSP sandbox, so they cannot read your key or sessions.
Sessions live in a local SQLite database. Settings are mirrored to a local file so a cleared browser keeps your look. API keys are never mirrored.
An optional WebGL renderer refracts the backdrop inside every glass panel: rounded-rect lenses, chromatic dispersion, Fresnel and specular rims. Without WebGL it falls back to SVG filters.
OpenClaude uses SwiftUI's spring(duration:bounce:) maths: stiffness is (2π / duration)², damping is 1 − bounce. Each curve is generated live as a CSS linear() easing. Try the four motion modes from the app.
Every theme is three colours; the rest is derived. Tap any of these 37 to re-skin this page, the same way the app does.

Run OpenClaude-Setup-1.23.9.exe. It can set up the WebView2 runtime and fetch OpenCode from npm if they're missing.
The setup guide finds an OpenCode Console key already on your machine, or lets you paste one. No Anthropic key needed.
Chat, Code, Cowork, Design or Artifacts. Choose a model and start. Code and Cowork need opencode on your PATH.
OpenClaude is a local web chat and agent app for OpenCode. It applies Claude's own harnesses (system prompts, agents, skills, commands and output styles) to any OpenCode model, across five surfaces: Chat, Code, Cowork, Design and Artifacts.
No. OpenClaude only needs an OpenCode Console key. If OpenCode already has one on your machine, in the OPENCODE_API_KEY variable or in OpenCode's auth.json, it is used automatically with no prompt.
Any model your OpenCode keys list. OpenClaude reads the models from each key and combines them. A chat is routed to a key that lists the chosen model first, then falls back to the rest.
On your machine. Sessions, settings and usage live in a data folder next to the app. API keys are never mirrored into the settings file, and artifacts run in a sandbox that cannot read your key or sessions.
The opencode CLI on your PATH. Code and Cowork run on an isolated opencode serve instance that OpenClaude starts for you. Shell commands and file edits ask for your permission by default.
The packaged app is for Windows 10 and 11 on x64. The installer can set up the WebView2 runtime and fetch OpenCode from npm, then opens a three-step setup guide. A portable folder build is also produced.
Yes. There are 65 themes plus a custom builder, 62 backdrops, optional liquid glass, fonts, density, corners and four motion modes: Jelly, Smooth, Snappy and Off. Your look is applied before first paint.
No. OpenClaude is an independent project. It is not made, endorsed or supported by Anthropic or by the OpenCode project.
Download the Windows installer, connect your OpenCode key and pick a surface.
