# OpenClaude > OpenClaude is a local web chat and agent app for OpenCode. It applies Claude's own harnesses (system prompts, agents, skills, commands and output styles) to any OpenCode model. It needs only an OpenCode Console key, not an Anthropic key. Current version: 1.23.9 (2026-10-29), Windows 10/11 x64. OpenClaude runs on your machine at http://127.0.0.1:3000. It is an independent project, not affiliated with Anthropic or the OpenCode project. ## Surfaces - Chat: everyday conversation with Claude's chat harness. Streams directly from the model. - Code: a coding agent that reads, edits and runs commands in a workspace. Runs on the OpenCode agent runtime. - Cowork: multi-step tasks on your files. Runs on the OpenCode agent runtime; shell and edit actions ask for permission by default. - Design: a design-focused harness for palettes, layouts and interface ideas. Streams directly. - Artifacts: HTML and SVG results served at /artifact/:id under a CSP sandbox, so they cannot read your key or sessions. ## Key facts - Keys: an OpenCode Console key found on the machine (OPENCODE_API_KEY or OpenCode's auth.json) is used automatically. Otherwise a pasted key is verified against /zen and /inference. - Models: read from every key and combined. A chat is routed to a key that lists the chosen model first, then falls back to the rest. - Agent runtime: an isolated `opencode serve` with its own config and workspace, proxied at /rt/*. Claude agents, skills and commands are converted for OpenCode. Code and Cowork need the `opencode` CLI on PATH. - Connectors: MCP servers from presets or custom config. OpenClaude also registers an MCP connector that searches and reads past sessions. - Data: sessions in a local SQLite database; settings, sessions and usage in a data folder next to the app. API keys are never mirrored to the settings file. - Look and feel: 65 themes plus a custom builder, 62 backdrops, optional WebGL liquid glass, and spring-physics motion based on SwiftUI's spring(duration:bounce:) with four modes (Jelly, Smooth, Snappy, Off). - Install: OpenClaude-Setup-1.23.9.exe (about 144 MB). It can install the WebView2 runtime and fetch OpenCode from npm, then opens a three-step setup guide. A portable folder build is also produced. ## Links - [Home](https://open-claude.pages.dev/): overview, surfaces and features - [FAQ](https://open-claude.pages.dev/#faq): common questions, answered - [Download](https://open-claude.pages.dev/download): Windows installer
